Event Name: Supporting Older Adults with a Concussion: Expert and Caregiver Perspectives

About: We explore strategies and opportunities for supporting older adults with concussions as well as their caregivers. 

Event Name: Working Together to Support Athletes and Students in Returning to Sport and School Post-Concussion

Date: November 18, 2024 from 7:00 - 8:30 pm

Location: Clark Hall, RA Centre, 251 Riverside Drive, Ottawa

About: This was an opportunity to connect with the concussion community in Ottawa and learn from the lived experience of a former NHL player, the concussion experts from CHEO and 360 Concussion Care, and a key leader from the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP). 

Event Name: Connecting Perspectives Insights on Intimate Partner Violence and Concussion through Lived Experience and Expertise

Date: November 28, 2024, from 1-2 pm (EST)

Location: Zoom

About: We explored the intersection between Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) and concussion. This event brought together diverse voices and recounts to shed light on the importance of IPV-related education and addressing IPV-related injuries.

Event Name: Return to Learn after Concussion

Host: Canadian Concussion Centre

Date: February 11, 2025, from 6:00-7:00 pm (EST)

Location: Zoom

About: The 
Canadian Concussion Centre (CCC) host the CCC Series for people with persisting concussion symptoms, their families and friends and their healthcare professionals. In this session, Dr. Nick Reed (TRANSCENDENT's Knowledge Translation lead) spoke about the return to learn process after a concussion.
