The end of April was a busy conference time for our team! Many members of our team were fortunate enough to get together in Calgary for the Canadian Concussion Network annual conference and the International Pediatric Brain Injury Society conference.

The Canadian Concussion Network conference got off to a strong start with a community event held at the University of Calgary. At the community event, a member of our Community Advisory Committee (CAC) spoke about her concussion experience and highlighted the importance of our research team's work. We also had a booth at the event, where we shared concussion resources with the community. The following two days of the conference featured presentations and posters from our team. Including a presentation on the Community Concussion Talk, which we held in September with Brain Injury Canada.

In between conferences, we were lucky enough to bring many members of our team and some members of our CAC  together for a brainstorming workshop to think about future research priorities, particularly as they related to the brain heart connection.

The week ended with the International Pediatric Brain Injury Society conference, which highlighted research from across the world. Here again, our team was able to showcase our work in oral presentations as well as a number of poster presentations. Our team also presented in a pre-conference symposia, which highlighted many of the aspects of our program.

Overall, it was a very successful week in Calgary, with many new connections and ideas to help our team moving forward!
