New Publication: Relief and Prevention of Post-Traumatic Headache Using Intranasal Delivery of Lidocaine for Youth (RAPPIDLY)

Our team is excited to announce that we have published a new paper in Neurotrauma Reports. This paper explored the use of intranasal Lidocaine to help relieve and prevent headaches post-concussion. What our team found was that Lidocaine, which is a local anesthetic medication, helped reduce post-concussion headaches in a sample of participants post-concussion. Participants noted that the medication was well tolerated, with no serious adverse effects.

Why is this important? New treatment methods, like this, can be feasibly delivered in a clinic by trained professionals and may have a positive impact on patient outcomes. Continuing to explore new avenues of treatment is a priority of the TRANSCENDENT Concussion Research Program.
