Concussion Awareness Week Webinar Success!

This week was Concussion Awareness Week, an initiative to help raise awareness around concussions across the country. To support Concussion Awareness Week, our team had several initiatives, including the release of our September Newsletter (Concussion News You Can Use), a social media campaign and, most notably, a community webinar, co-hosted with Brain Injury Canada.

The webinar, titled "The invisible injury: Managing headaches, sleep and mental health symptoms after a concussion", featured researchers on our team (Drs. Roger Zemek, Rébecca Robillard and Noah Silverberg) as well as a wonderful individual sharing their lived experience (Sydney Low). In the webinar, speakers shared practical recommendations and research to support the management of common concussion symptoms. This webinar reached hundreds of individuals across Canada (see the image below) and even globally!

We are so proud of this initiative and that we were able to help make a splash during Concussion Awareness Week! If you missed the webinar, it isn't too late to watch it. The recording is now available on our website.
