TRANSCENDENT makes a splash at the Canadian Concussion Network (CCN) Conference

This past week, our team attended the Canadian Concussion Network (CCN) conference hosted in beautiful Victoria, BC. The CCN conference brought together concussion researchers from across Canada to learn from each other and to find new ways to collaborate to advance concussion research and care.

On Sunday, before the conference began, our team helped support a community event tied to the conference. About 75 community members came out to hear presentations from concussion experts, including members of our TRANSCENDENT team. Our team also hosted a booth at the event where we shared key concussion resources, including resources from the Living Guideline for Pediatric Concussion.

For the conference itself, we had a significant TRANSCENDENT presence, including oral and academic poster presentations about our research program that featured many of our team members. One of the key presentations at the conference was a TRANSCENDENT highlight session. This session, which featured Dr. Zemek, Dr. van Ierssel and Daniela Testani, showcased the different components of our research program, highlighted novel findings around concussions and mental health and outlined the role that our community advisory committee has played in supporting our research program. It was so exciting to see all of the attendees' interest in our different presentations, and we look forward to continuing to share our research with this group in years to come!
